Following are results from 2 recent gymnastics meets attended by Shoreline Gymnastics of Old Saybrook.

Shoreline Gymnastics competed at the Rhode Island Invitational at Bryant University in Smithfield, RI on December 3-5, 2010. Level 9 Katie Frese of Essex won vault with 9.2750 and beam with 8.700. She placed second in the all around in her age group with 32.750. Megan McNeil of Pawcatuck also placed second in the all around in her age group with 33.000. Montara Tomasetti of Waterford scored 31.750.

Level 7 Abby McGuirk of Madison placed second in the vault (9.550) and first on bars, beam and floor (9.300, 8.700, 9.175) as well as the all-around with 36.725. Kylie McCarthy of Old Lyme scored 35.000; Devyn King, 34.325; Morgan Staehle of Oakdale, 33.600 and Mary Bolles of Old Lyme, 33.500.

Level 6 Tehya Cerase of Westbrook scored 34.050 in the all-around, followed by Daria Maziotti of Killingworth, 32.300; Kate Ryan of East Haddam, 32.225 and Leah Leffingwell, 29.950. Level 5 Erin Naclerio of Madison placed second in the all-around with 36.600. Alexandra Bishop of Old Saybrook scored 32.550. Elizabeth Cravinho of Old Lyme led the Shoreline Level 4 girls with 36.850. Haley Smith of Clinton scored 36.175; Caroline Petchark of Waterford, 34.600; Saige Deveau of East Lyme, 34.100; Maggie Maselli of Old Saybrook, 33.400; Megan Kapij, 30.550 and Megan Cravinho of Old Lyme, 30.450

On the following weekend, level 5 and 6 gymnasts met in Bridgeport for their respective state meets. Level 5 Erin Naclerio of Madison shone as state champion in vault (8.900) and beam (9.475) as well as level 5 state champion with an all-around score of 36.00. Alexandra Bishop of Old Saybrook scored 30.775. Level 5 Kate Ryan of East Haddam finished with an all-around score of 33.250, followed by Emma Katko of Essex, 33.200; Tehya Cerase of Westbrook, 32.625 and Daria Maziotti of Killingworth, 31.550.
