Maureen Pokorny

Gymnastics Experience: High School Gymnasts back in the early 70's. Grew up in a dance studio. Completed in the Empire State Game masters Division (over 40).

Teaching Experience: Starting teaching as a High School Student. Taught in South Portland, Maine for 15 years. After getting married relocated with husband to Rochester, NY for 5 ½ years. Relocated to Long Island for 5 years and have been at Shoreline Gymnastics for the past 7 years.

Philosophy: Commitment to helping students to develop skills and self-esteem, while recognizing individual differences in ability levels.

Hobbies: Quilting, Snow shoeing, Skiing, Antiques, boating in the summer.

Interesting Fact: Attends regional congress, Master Compulsory workshops, judges' symposium, and several local judges clinics to ensure continued professional growth.
