Shoreline
Gymnastics, in Old Saybrook competed in a recent optional meet
at Wininger's Gymnastics. Shoreline gymnasts showed consistency
in routines and character. In the level 7 Jr. 12- 14 age group
Melissa Luster finished first on Floor with a 9.2 and third
on bars with a 9.00 and ended the meet with a 35.85 all around
second place finish. Katie Frese tied for first on beam with
a 9.2, and third on floor with a 9.05, to finish the meet in
third place with a 35.6. Margaret Dubey finished the meet with
a 34.4 ninth place finish in the all around and had a strong
bar routine to score an 8.8 tieing for ninth place. Alyssa Zebrowski
had a consistent meet with a ninth place finish on bars scoring
an 8.8 and finishing 12th with a 33.45.In the Sr. 15+ division
Linnea Jungnelius finished second on every event and the all
around scoring a 32.1.
In the Level 8 Sr. 15+ age group Jen Ward posted a 9.0 on Vault to win the event, an 8.15 on bars, and an 8.7 on beam both second place finishes. She scored an 8.95 on floor for third place and placed second in the all around with a 34.8. Alyssa Strickland scored an 8.15 on bars for second place, and took third place on every other event and the all around with vault 8.7, beam 8.35, floor 8.95 and all around 34.15. Heather Gilmore tied for first with a 9.0 on floor and came in fourth in the all around with a 33.00. |
